We are currently looking for a dynamic Chief Mechanical Officer, to direct all activities of the Maintenance of Equipment in a safe and effective manner. The incumbent should possess strong leadership, managerial, written and oral skills. The incumbent will be responsible for the shop operations, field operations, engineering, planning and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Programs for all locomotive Coach and EMU Fleets of Metro-North Railroad. You will also be responsible for the development of long-range plans and projections of future needs for fleet replacements and Support Facilities. The incumbent should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science and/or industrial Management required. Demonstrated equivalent experience, education and/ or technical credentials may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum ten (10) years of progressively more complex general management experience in rolling stock maintenance. Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in managing a diverse group of employees at various levels.
