The First International Conference on Road and Rail Infrastructure "CETRA 2010" was held on 17 and 18 May 2010 at Grand Hotel Adriatic in Opatija. The Conference was organized by the Department of Transportation Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb. The Conference opening ceremony was attended by Tomislav Mihotic, the State Secretary for transport infrastructure (Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure), Prof. Vladimir Medica, Ph.D. (Academy of Technical Sciences) and Prof. Mladen Radujkovic, Ph.D., the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb. The opening ceremony was followed by two guest lectures presented by two leading world experts. The guest lecture in the field of railway was presented by Prof. Coenraad Esveld (TU Delft), whereas in the field of roads the guest lecturer was Prof. Johann Litz-ka(TU Wien).
