London mayor boris johnson has put improving existing buildings at the heart of the Greater London Authority's plan to reduce carbon emissions in 2009.Johnson announced at City Hall last Wednesday that the GLA planned to launch a scheme to improve the energy efficiency of London's historic buildings and that it is in talks with bodies such as English Heritage about how achieve this.The mayor was speaking at the Green Organisations business brunch, hosted with Green 500 - a GLA-led coalition of businesses that has so far attracted 154 members -and the Better Buildings Partnership - a coalition of property developers and owners.
