The Philippine Social Science Council, in cooperation with the Philippine Center for Population and Development (PCPD), awarded graduate study fellowships to three deserving individuals who intend to specialize in population and development. The successful fellows are Bernardo Kaibigan, an economics graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP), who will pursue a Master's degree in Demography; Michael Paraguya, an engineering graduate of Cebu Institute of Technology, who will pursue a Master's degree in Economics; and Jo-ann Latuja, a business economics graduate of UP, who will take up a Master's degree in Economics. All three fellows are guaranteed full support for up to two years of graduate study at UP Diliman.
