The Philippine Social Science Council invites applications for the 2008 Research Award Program (RAP). The RAP provides modest financial grants to Filipino graduate students in the social sciences for the completion of their thesis or dissertation work. A maximum of P40,000 is available for PhD students and P20,000 for master's students.rnApplicants to the RAP must be master's or PhD students in any of the following disciplines: anthropology, communication, economics, demography, geography, history, linguistics, political science, psychology, social work, public administration, sociology and statistics. Graduate students in other fields (e.g. Philippine studies, education) whose thesis/dissertation topics are social science-related may be considered. Applicants must also have successfully defended their thesis or dissertation proposals at the time of appiication.
