For many years, CAF has been developing different types of rolling stock in order to meet the ever-growing needs of mass transport in large cities. A result of this effort has been its decisive contribution to the modernization in Spain of RENFE's Commuter Train service, and the metros of Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia. CAF has also secured important orders for this kind of rolling stock, for destinations including Mexico Federal District, and the cities of Monterrey, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and London.
