Over the last nine months the editor and his team have become familiar with the on-line submission and review process, and so have many of our reviewers, on whose swift and astute commentary the journal relies. We have been dealing with a number of issues, including updating the on-line process. But three larger issues deserve a short word from the editor: the new members of the editorial advisory board, the 'open access' problem and ways of increasing the turn-around from submission to print.
