US packaging company Graphic Packaging International (GPI) plans to install two new machines for the production of folding boxboard at its plant in Gateshead, UK. The capacity expansion is aimed at meeting growing demand in the sector. The company said it would invest £5m for the purpose. According to GPI, the new machines will increase plant capacity by 40 mil- lion sheets and are scheduled to start operating in spring 2018.
