There is seemingly no end to the surge in pulp prices. Prices of all pulp grades increased in February while producers have already tabled first demands for March. The asking increase of northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp prices in February to $1,090/metr.t was once again swiftly implemented. "We could fix the higher softwood pulp prices even in the first negotiation for February", a respondent told EUWID.The pulp market reportedly remains very tight and securing volumes takes priority as before. Price negotiations were therefore quite straightforward.
