Mondi group plans to spend a total of €1.5bn over the next two years to expand capacity and enhance competitiveness of its pulp and paper operations. Most of the investment money earmarked for 2018 and 2019 will be reportedly spent to expand the group's mills in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The group also plans to undertake upgrades at its Syktyvkar facility in Russia as well as at its packaging facilities. When the projectsare completed and machines operate to capacity, Mondi's sales volume of pulp and paper will reportedly increase by 9%.
