Sappi Fine Paper Europe will start rebuilding its coated mechanical paper machine at the company's Lanaken mill in Belgium next April. According to Sappi, production on PM 8 will stand completely idle for 65 days before the rebuilt paper machine will go back online in early June. Sappi puts the estimated production loss due to the rebuild at some 54.0001. However, the company did not expect any ramifications for the supply of its customers since paper has been produced and put on stock, a spokesperson said.
