British thinktank Institute for Government (IfG) and Confederation of British Industry (CBI) believe that a no-deal Brexit (in which UK leaves the EU without an exit agreement) on 31 October 2019 will have a very negative impact on trade between the UK and EU countries and that many involved parties are not sufficiently prepared for the scenario. In the report "What comes next? The business analysis of no deal preparations" CBI writes that all stakeholders - governments agencies as well as companies on both sides of the Channel - must urgently implement more measures to mitigate the worst effects of a no-deal Brexit. The CBI has put together a list of measures to soften the impact of a no-deal Brexit.
