Voith has retrofitted the pulper of Brazilian packaging company Cartonificio Valinhos. According to Voith, the upgrade led to improved paper quality and a 10 per cent higher processing capacity, since the equipment is now operating nonstop. Before the measure, the pulper encountered continuous disruptions caused by contaminant buildup. Cartonificio Valinhos is an integrated company that produces recycled containerboard, corrugated board as well as corrugated board packaging. Ahlstrom-Munksjo completed the modernisation of the baling line at its Aspa pulp plant in Sweden. The company said that the ramp-up of the line had proceeded well, making production more efficient and giving the company access to new customers.
