The weak pulp market has left its traces on the financial results of Spanish pulp and energy company Ence Energi'a y Celulosa for the first half of 2019. Profits of the Spanish company for the re-porting period are only half of the reported figures for the same period last year. Ence posted an operating profit of €47m and a net profit of €26m, against €96.9m and €51.3m respectively for last year's first half. Sales weakened only slightly by 3.5 per cent to €386.2m in the first six months of the year.
