Stora Enso is proceeding with its cost-cutting programme and has completed negotiations with the employee representatives at its Kvarnsveden publication paper mill in Sweden. These talks resulted in the decision to eliminate 64 jobs at the site, said a company spokeswoman. She explained that the Kvarnsveden facility would no longer produce on statutory holidays, thus reducing the number of shifts from six to five. Once this measure is enacted, the mill will have 500 employees.
