Chinese paper producer Yuen Foong Yu Paper Mfg. Co. Ltd. (YFY) started up another machine for the production of packaging paper made from recovered paper at its Yangzhou mill in the Province of Jiangsu.The PM 3 offers a capacity of 450,000 tpy of recycled testliner and commenced commercial production at the end of 2013, reports Voith, the supplier of the new machine. According to Voith, the PM 3 is also the first machine of this size in China to make paper from 100% domestically recovered paper. Comparable machines rely heavily on imported recovered paper as a raw material.
