Negotiations on the French publication paper market carried on into July, but the results are now in: Thanks to reduced production capacities, producers of newsprint and SC paper were able to implement some of their desired price hike. For LWC, however, this was not possible. There continues to be a downward trend in consumption and overall demand for publication paper in France. Manufacturers of recycled corrugated case material report good business and want to take advantage of this market environment to raise prices by €50/t for deliveries from 1 August. The mark-up was also announced for white-top test-liner grades, but their prices slid in June and July.
