Swedish paper and forest products group SCA raised its sales revenue, operating profit, and net profit in the first half-year 2013.This was due above all to growth in deliveries, lower costs for raw materials, and acquisitions in the Tissue and Personal Care divisions. These sectors, that SCA had strengthened in 2012 by acquiring Georgia-Pacific's European tissue division, were able to grow especially in the emerging markets. The efficiency programme that SCA had launched in the Personal Care and Forest Products divisions went according to plan in the first half-year. The strength of the Swedish krona had negative currency effects in all areas. The Forest Products division also recorded reductions in sales and profits.
