Varied comments were made regarding the success of recent efforts by wood-free paper producers to implement higher prices in the UK. In some cases, prices for coated paper, copy paper and uncoated offset paper were raised in October, although this trend was not seen across the board. Delays had occurred and manufacturers' degree of resoluteness in implementing the hikes also seemed to vary.
