Price negotiations in the publication paper sector have been finalised but are continuing or have started again in certain other markets. Efforts of manufacturers in the recycled containerboard market have borne fruit despite only sluggish demand. Manufacturers of coated woodfree paper also want to pull of another round of price hikes in April. Buyers of uncoated woodfree paper benefit from a downward price trend because prices have continued to be under pressure in March. Prices in the kraftliner, folding boxboard and recovered paper sectors have remained steady in March. In the LWC sector, price negotiations are on the cards again for three-month contracts.
