The third course of my medical school curriculum was a sevenweek course titled the Human Body, which included gross anatomy, histology, and embryology. Gross anatomy is possibly the most quintessential medical school experience. It was our first real medical school class (as biochemistry contained a lot of material from undergraduate courses) and all the information was completely new. It was also the first class where we began to feel like physicians or at least physicians in training.
