The AT-615B balanced antenna tuner from RF Communications Electronics in Germany is a manually tuned, remotely controlled tuner - perhaps best described as a semiautomatic tuner. This device is designed to match a single symmetrical, balanced antenna on all amateur bands from 1.8 to 30 MHz, provided that the antenna length is at least 62 feet. It's rated at up to 1.5 kW PEP when tuned. The AT-615B package includes a remote tuner unit in a weatherproof enclosure that is designed for outdoor installation. A compact control and indicator unit is intended for deployment at the operating position. The two are interconnected by a multicon-ductor cable. A coax cable runs from the outside tuner to an indoor power amplifier or transceiver. A supplied frequency sensor goes in the line from the transceiver and connects with a short cable to the control unit. Everything is powered by an included ac power supply.
