A few of us were sat around in our comfortable folding chairs, metaphorically holding up our scorecards for each flight from the guys out on the flight line. The flasks were out, and sandwiches and cakes had been largely scoffed. Comments such as 'He's improved' and 'Just how long has he been flying?' had been bandied about. Typically, when not flying many of us do have a tendency to from us by approximately ten feet of water. 'There's no excuse,' said one of the more knowledgeable (self-professed) and experienced flyers, 'for landing off the patch.'
