It's traditional for the Ghost Squadron, a cadre of the LMA, to hold one or two week long fly-ins in various parts of the country. One of the venues last year was a farmer's field near Cheddar in the county of Somerset. And June this year was to be a repeat performance. The event was open to day visitors, and when I looked at the forecast for the Sunday it promised that the ever-present wind was going for a break of its own. So the Sat Nav was fired up and off we went.
