One of the biggest issues with ARTF models is that you never end up with a unique model - sooner or later you come across another one exactly the same. The opportunity to make yours a little different from the others can be a plus and depending on the effort you choose to put in the results can be truly outstanding.I think it's fair to say we all suffer from a certain personal boost when we apply a little time and effort to our models to improve their looks, whether a tidy up of an aged model or a little personal detailing to that latest ARTF. We all feel pretty chuffed when we stand back to admire our work, even more so when club members or friends and fellow flyers notice the difference.
