For the past year we have been giving the ParkZone VisionAire a regular outing. Although designated as a 3-D trainer, this impressive aeroplane also excels at regular aerobatics. It's quite a chunky design though, and as we tend to keep ours in one piece, so we can grab it for some impromptu fun flying, we do find that it takes up quite a bit of space in our storage area. So wouldn't it be great if Horizon Hobby could come up with a little sister for the VisionAire? Enter the ArtiZan, which has a definite family resemblance, but in a smaller package. She's not that much smaller, mind you. VisionAire has a 45 inch wingspan, while the new girl extends her mainplane to 42.5 inches. Hardly any difference, you may think, but while the VisionAire has broad chord wings, barn door ailerons and wing fences, adding to her chunky charm, the ArtiZan has more slender wings and half span ailerons for conventional aeros. And while she retains the novel moulded triangular turbulators on the leading edges, the wing panels are otherwise clean.
