In this issue, I'd like to finish up my musings on propellers by looking at the direction of propeller rotation. I have seen a certain amount of confusion on this topic but this is hardly surprising, as things can easily get complicated if you don't have a clear understanding of how and why a propeller works. First of all, I would like to dispel the notion that there are 'normal' (tractor) propellers and 'pusher' propellers. These descriptions apply only to the propeller installation, not to the propeller itself.
