Last year reviewed the Blade 450X for our sister publication, Quiet & Electric Flight International. This small, highly agile flybarless helicopter was a real revelation. The fully fitted out model lifted straight out of the box and was truly Ready To Fly. From the first lift off it was well trimmed and a joy to fly. In fact it was a little too nimble and I had to de-tune it somewhat to suit the more relaxed F3C style of heli flying (pattern style aerobatics) that I prefer, rather than 3-D. My only gripe was the blue/silver canopy, which can be a bit difficult to orientate with in some light conditions.
