Many of you, I am sure will be familiar with Japan's Kamikaze air campaign during the closing months of the war in the Pacific. Other aspects of the Kamikaze may not be so familiar. As soon as I opened this book, I learned that as well as the Kamikaze from the air, similar tactics were employed at sea and to a more limited extent, on land. Much of this book is dedicated to the air campaign describing the types of aircraft used supported by photos, coloured artwork and tables of figures. Many of us will have seen the horrific footage of Japanese aircraft penetrating a barrage of anti-aircraft fire before crashing into Allied ships.
