It's not been a good month for flying for me due to the seasonal weather changes, and the wind chill factor, but I cannot complain because I have just been informed of a new venue for indoor model flying at Silverstone race track in Northamptonshire. To read more about this exciting new venue please turn to page 8 and the Take Off column. I recently received a message that our cherished regular Best In Scale contributor Phil Kent had been taken seriously ill. After some very major surgery I am pleased to say that Phil is up and around now, and getting much better every day, however, he has indicated that due to his current condition he may have to take it easy for a while and this means that he has not been able to get 'out and about' as he normally does, so he has chosen to write a more in-depth BMFA Nats' scale report for this issue. I'm sure we would all like to wish him a speedy recovery, and I for one look forward to his column every month.
