I have always liked the Piper Cub in its various forms and considered it a suitable slow flying and stable model for learning to fly with. With the top mounted wing it is very stable and makes an ideal 4-function R/C trainer, or a great introduction to scale model flying. When this 91 -inch span 1.20-size version arrived from the UK distributors (J. Perkins) I was keen to assess it and find out just how versatile a model of this type can be, and whether or not it would be suitable for a big engine, or maybe even electric power? This particular model comes in a very big, very well decorated box that is truly indicative of the contents. Removing the airframe components piece by piece I could not fault the construction or finish. Neatly packed accessories accompany the airframe and seem quite adequate for a model of this type.
