The gyro topic keeps returning in the feedback, this time with reference to twin engines. Twins have two areas in which a gyro can help, one that they share with many single engine types, the other which is specific to twins. The shared problem is the possible swing on take-off. The types, which are notorious for this are biplanes with big engines and consequently short noses, big propellers and light tail ends. They are always eager to ground-loop. This can be enough of a problem with full size machines: The Beech Staggerwing, the Harvard and Stearman PT-17 are claimed to be the three worst ground-loopers ever, probably in that order.
