The late August Bank Holiday weekend has for many years been the preferred date for the Radio and Control Line British Model Flying Association National Championships. The run up to the event from the weather point of view was not promising and eventually the Nationals 2009 were to be blighted by strong and gusty winds.rnThis year there were just two 'Scale' radio control model categories, the International F4C class and the Flying Only class. The International F4C class has two distinct elements, one for the accuracy of the model when compared to scale drawings and photographs and the second for the flying ability of the model again compared to that of the full size aircraft.
