With the advent of the Q500 Euro-Cup series the decision was taken at the end of 2006 to revive Q500 in the UK. Why you may say, well over the past few years as in all forms of racing whether it be, Moto-GP motorcycles, Fl cars or F3D/F5D pylon racers, development takes place and the skill of those doing it improve year on year reaching levels that can seem a million miles away from someone wishing to have a go for the first time. Yes minor rule changes may be introduced to try and slow down development, but generally all they do is make it more complicated for the novice. A classic example of this being the Sport 40 class, still a great concept but it got too technical and expensive for the novice.
