Over the years that I have been writing I have often been asked what do I consider to be the best model that can be bought for training? This is of course an almost impossible question to answer as no one model is perfect for everyone's needs. For those who, after learning to fly, want to carry on and perform 3-D aerobatics then they are likely to require a model that has many upgrades available so that they can possibly install a larger engine to run longer blades. They will also require a ready supply of spares that are reasonably priced. This is of course a far cry from the pilot who, having learnt to fly, is satisfied with his machine's performance and is intending to go along the scale route, adding a fuselage and as much detail as possible.
