Having seen quite a few kits over the years and more recently a few ARTF models, you realise that one or two stand out from the crowd: either through flying or build qualities. Occasionally you get both in the same package! There is a third category, those that claim to achieve both but in fact do neither, and I have had a few of those too, although much rarer these days! One past favourite, which I have enjoyed over several years, is the World Models Mustang. One of the first ARTF models I have owned, a quality kit, with fantastic flying characteristics, it soon became a regular dependable model and has been flown week after week, month after month, and now year after year without problem. Such long service however takes its toll on any model, with gravel rash and the odd hard landing, how many times have I heard "the third landing was the best!" after watching my bounce, bounce, bounce approach.
