In the last session we dealt with the first step in using a computer radio - any radio, for that matter - switching the thing on. The next step is deciding what to do with it once it is running. Easiest of all is to waggle the sticks and allow the default settings to fly a model, but any transmitter will do this; we expect something better from a computer. Suppose the new radio arrived a few days ago and the immediate novelty is wearing off, but time spent browsing the instructions is adding to the confusion rather than helping. It is time to make it live up to its promises, to make it fly a model. The model of choice for the early trials will probably be waiting, an old favourite, perhaps, with characteristics that are very familiar so there should be no surprises when the new gear takes over.
