For Analytical/Test we presented the Editor's Choice Award to Thermo Fisher Scientific's Thermo Scientific Gemini analyzer. The technology was chosen as it is the first handheld analyze that combines both FTIR and Raman into one instrument that's smaller and lighter than the two single-technology instruments. The instrument is used by military forces and first respond-ers who quickly and safely need to assess hazardous situations, providing a rugged, compact and easy-to-use instrument. Minimal training is needed to operate the instrument, an added bonus. For more information on the technology visit page 17.
