摘要

The venerable TPQ-36 has been around for many years as part of the U.S. Army's FIREFINDER artillery and mortar locating system. As technology advanced and needs changed, the Army began to consider a new system to replace the rugged TPQ-36. The Multi-Mission Radar Advanced Technology Objective (ATO) program incorporated the latest antenna technology into the TPQ-36. The EQ-36 is based on that program. Throughout 2005, the U.S. Army assessed the viability of using such technology in a new production system.
