Radar is a vital part of any electronics suite for both military and commercial applications. While other sensors - such as infrared systems, electro-optical systems, and Global Positioning System receivers -have grown in importance in recent years, radar still forms a core part of aircraft avionics suites, battlefield command networks, missile defense shields, and air traffic control systems.
