The National Radiological Protection Board (NRPB) has established a solar radiation measurement network in the UK. Each iste incorporates a solar radiation measurement system (SRMS) measuring erythemally effective irradiance, UVA Irradiance and illuminance. Raw data consist of 5-minute mean values. All sites are linked to a screen display at NRPB. Data Are loaded onto a computer for calibration. Subsequent processing yields long-term mean or time integrated quantities.
