This month, Dawid Smith has a collection of light-hearted things heard on the airwaves, plus a few funny true stories. Tower: "KLM123, will you be taking off from the end of Runway 01 Left?" KLM123: "No sir, I'll be taking off from the beginning." This was heard on the approach frequency at a US airport when the controller issued a Gulfstream with a clearance to climb to Flight Level 230. The Gulfstream captain replied, "Roger, climb and maintain...Hey, don't you touch that, don't you ever touch that again... FL230, Gulfstream 123 November." The controller asked if everything was all right and if he could provide any assistance. The captain replied, "Can you help me find a new co-pilot?"
