Because it's more effective to "show and tell" rather than simply "tell," the NRC's grassroots program was created to invite United States Congressmen to visit NRC member facilities and construction project sites. These visits not only give the Members of Congress firsthand knowledge of the rail industry, they also demonstrate how rail contractors and suppliers are positively affecting the rail industry and the local and national economy. The results include positive publicity for your company, a good working relationship with your Representative or Senator, and a strong contact for the NRC to utilize when advocating for rail industry issues on your behalf on Capitol Hill.
