摘要

This book, which now forms the second part of a two-volume set alongside the original volume (Holston, 1997), catalogues the film versions of over 334 science fiction, fantasy and horror films released between 1996 and 2016. Not included are movies of mental aberration (Saw and Wrong Turn) or thrillers and spoofs (like James Bond or other secret agent films). Each film is rated by the authors according to their own five-star system, from poor to excellent. Films are arranged alphabetically, starting with the series title or major character(s) (Batman, Avengers, etc.), with subsequent movies listed chronologically. Each film listed includes detailed information related to the production crew and cast members, a synopsis of the plot which is often the entire sequence of events in the film, short reviews of the films from various newspapers and media and an analysis by the authors. There are many black-and-white photos from the films throughout the book.
