摘要

The Encyclopedia of Planetary Landforms is the first encyclopedia of its kind specific to the area of planetary geology and provides entries on the geological features of planets and other solid bodies in our Solar System. Taking five years to make this first edition, it has over 1,415 entries from over 265 contributors from all over the world. The editors in chief, Henrik Hargitai, planetary geomorphologist at NASA Ames Research Center, and Akos Kereszturi, geologist and researcher at the Research Center for Astronomy and Earth Sciences, are well qualified to oversee the contribution of material along with an editorial board of nine that have various backgrounds and interest in several areas of planetary geology.
