The World Almanac has long served as a useful resource for locating information about the world we live in. Facts on File Publishing is now offering this resource in electronic form as The World Almanac Online. The search screen for The World Almanac Online is basic and easy to understand, yet visually appealing. A basic search bar provides for the use of both Boolean operators and wild card searching. A subject index provides links to areas such as a crime, health and vital statistics, and sports. A Year in Review tab links the user to information concerning events related to the previous four years. Each year is subdivided into four areas: Chronology of Events; Featured Stories; Other Notable Events and Facts; and Historical Anniversaries.
