When many people's idea of checking out a term is looking it up on Wikipedia this book makes a refreshing change. As the title suggests it is aimed at primary school teachers (teaching five to eleven year olds) but would also be most useful to those teaching how to teach. There are over 250 entries covering a huge range of topics and all the entries are more than just a short description. Four extended entries cover topics that are particularly topical, abstract or relevant to science teaching today:
