Low pressure premixed H_2/O_2/Ar flames were stabilised on a flat, water-cooled sintered bronze plate at pressures 27.5 mbar ≤p≤30 mbar and doped with small amount (100-400 ppm) of Al (CH_3)_3 or SiH_4 acting as Al- and Si-precursors, respectively. In the combustion process, the condensable oxidation products Al_2O_3 and SiO_2 were Formed and undergo phase transition by homogeneous nucleation. Coagulation of nuclei and particles driven by Brownian motion contribute to the further evolution of the particle size distribution.
