Several Aircraft seats (in particular economy class, ①) offer on the backside (see rear view, figure 1) a few component to enhance the comfort and the time the passengers are flying. Typical features are reclining table ③, literature pocket ④, IFE system ⑤etc- The very seating part consist of a seat pan ⑥, a back rest ⑦and a head rest ⑧while on the back side a rigid chassis (⑩, normally in plastic material) hosts those features. Common design normally offer different customizable variant but ones the seat is assembled the possibility to switch to a different option is far to be easy and normally time consuming. The idea presented in this extract is the way to make the upper part of the backside of the seats to be easy interchangeable on-demand ②. In this way the airliner can prepare the cabin seats before the flight prior customer/passengers request and have an added value on the seat comfort (revenue).
