Consumers commonly come across clothing made from recycled PET bottles. But threads that leverage used coffee grounds and fishing nets? That's a whole other deal. A Madrid-based company called ECOALF uses old fishing nets, coffee grounds, tires and bottles in the production of its clothing. Take, for example, the company's Baqueira Xtrem Jacket for men. It's made with nearly half a pound of recovered fishing nets, 38 recycled plastic bottles and grounds from 20 cups of coffee, according to the company.
